About Rent Anything

Rent Anything is a short- and mid-term gear rental business operating in Lisbon and Paris. We rent baby and children’s gear, mobility equipment, remote work tech, travel accessories, and more to visitors and residents who need quality equipment without having to buy it. We’re growing fast, and the business sits at the intersection of hospitality, logistics, and care.
We’re looking for someone to own and run our Lisbon operation end-to-end so the business can scale further and serve customers better than ever.

The role

We’re looking for a self-employed delivery operator to take on rental deliveries and collections across central Lisbon and surrounding areas on a per-job basis. You set your own schedule and choose which jobs you accept. We give you the orders, the rate per delivery, and the timing — you decide whether to take them on.
This is genuine freelance work. You’ll use your own vehicle (van, car, cargo bike, or scooter, depending on the job), set your own hours, and serve other clients alongside ours. We’re not your employer. We’re a recurring client looking for a trusted, professional partner.

👉 What the work looks like

• Pick up gear from our storage location in Lisbon.
• Deliver to customers across Lisbon and surrounding areas — apartments, hotels, holiday rentals, and sometimes the airport. Most deliveries are in Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama, Príncipe Real, and similar central neighbourhoods where parking is the main challenge.
• Hand over professionally. Greet the customer, walk them through the equipment, and get the handover signed off. Many customers are international visitors with families or older travellers — the interaction matters.
• Collect at the end of the rental and return the equipment to our storage.
• Flag issues. If something’s damaged, missing, or off, tell us straight away.

Volume varies with season — busier in spring and summer (April–September), quieter in winter. You can take as much or as little as you want, within what we have available.

Who this for

✅This is a good fit if you:

• Are already set up as self-employed in Portugal (recibos verdes / atividade aberta), or are prepared to register.
• Have your own reliable transport — for many jobs, a scooter or e-bike beats a car in central Lisbon, but you’ll need vehicle access for bulkier items like wheelchairs and travel cots.
• Know central Lisbon well — neighbourhoods, parking realities, traffic patterns, the difference between morning and afternoon access in tourist zones.
• Speak Portuguese and English well enough to handle customer interactions confidently. Our customers are mostly international.
• Are presentable and professional. Many handovers happen in upscale rentals and hotels.
• Are physically able to handle equipment that ranges from light (strollers, travel cots) to bulky (wheelchairs, mobility scooters).
• Are reliable. Once you accept a job, customers and we are counting on it happening on time.
• Have other clients or income streams — this is freelance work that suits people building a portfolio of clients, not someone looking for guaranteed weekly hours.

• Per-delivery rate, agreed upfront. Rates depend on distance, item size, and time of day — discussed during onboarding.
• Paid monthly against your recibo verde.
• We cover any tolls, parking, or congestion costs incurred for jobs we send you.
• Reliable, recurring volume from a client that pays on time.

How we work together

• We send job offers via WhatsApp or our scheduling tool, typically 24–72 hours ahead.
• You confirm whether you can take it. No obligation to accept any specific job.
• Same-day or short-notice jobs come with a premium rate when you can take them.
• You invoice us monthly. We pay within 15 days.
